Design Guided by Female Wisdom marked the Collective’s first public presentation. Co-organized with the independent art initiative ArtMeet İzmir, the event positioned the Collective’s members as activists and storytellers. The proceedings commenced with the reading of the Collective’s manifesto, outlining its foundational guiding principles. Following the reading, participants were invited to engage with the text by contributing their own concepts, slogans, or reflections using blank cards and colored cords given to them.
This interactive process allowed participants to document thoughts on systemic injustices and vulnerabilities, as well as aspirations for a more equitable future. These individual reflections were then physically linked using braided cords and collectively suspended within the venue. The resulting "instant installation" materialized as a tactile network of ideas and questions, bridging the gap between thought and textile. This act of collective making functioned as a dual process: it provided participants with a platform for self-expression while generating vital feedback that helped the Collective refine its theoretical framework through a shared, relational dialogue.
Dişil Bilgeliğin Rehberliğinde Tasarım (2023)
Kolektif’in ilk kamusal sunumu olan Dişil Bilgeliğin Rehberliğinde Tasarım, bağımsız sanat girişimi ArtMeet İzmir iş birliğiyle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Etkinlikte Kolektif üyeleri, aktivist ve hikâye anlatıcısı rolleriyle yer almıştır. Kolektif’in temel ilkelerini içeren manifestonun okunmasının ardından katılımcılar, kendilerine verilen boş kartlar ve renkli kordonlar aracılığıyla kendi kavramlarını, sloganlarını ve kısa cümlelerini metne dahil etmeye davet edilmiştir.
Bu süreçte katılımcılar, adaletsiz koşulların yarattığı hassasiyetler üzerine düşüncelerini ve barışçıl bir geleceğe dair umutlarını kartlara aktarmıştır. Bireysel ifadeler, örülen renkli kordonlarla birbirine bağlanarak mekânda kolektif bir şekilde asılmıştır. Kağıt ve tekstilin birleşimiyle somutlaşan bu "anlık yerleştirme", bir düşünce ve soru ağına dönüşmüştür. Kolektif bir eylem aracılığıyla ortaya çıkan bu katılım, bir yandan katılımcılara ifade alanı açarken, diğer yandan Kolektif’in teorik çerçevesini geliştirmesine yardımcı olan değerli bir geri bildirim zemini oluşturmuştur.
